Opening Quick Settings does not close VKey

Chrome Version       : 71.0.3567
OS Version: 10984.21

Open the virtual keyboard (e.g. open settings app and then tap into search box). Make sure the Vkey is set to be the small one in the corner. Then open the Quick Settings menu. When opening the Quick Settings Menu, I would expect the VKey to disappear. It does not
