Issue descriptionChrome version :72.0.3581.0 (Official Build)Revision 694c924ff97377dc28696e1796587cef97b1c10e-refs/branch-heads/3581@{#1}(32/64-bit) OS :Win(7,8,8.1,10) ,Mac(10.13.1 , 10.13.6, 10.14.1) and Linux(14.04 LTS)OS Pre-condition: Enable "Enable using the Google local NTP" ,"New Tab Page Background Selection" and "New Tab Page Custom Links" flags under chrome://flags. Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch chrome and open NTP. 2. Click on 'Add Shortcut' icon and add a new shortcut to NTP. 3. Now click on the edit shortcut icon corresponding to the newly added shortcut to open 'Edit shortcut' overlay. 4. Click on the name text field such that cursor appears at the end of the text. 5. Now right click to open context menu and observe. Actual Result :Text gets selected unnecessarily in Name text field of 'Edit shortcut' overlay upon right clicking. Expected Result:Text should not get selected in Name text field upon right clicking. This is a regression issue broken in ‘M-71’ and will soon update bisect info. Good build: 71.0.3571.0(Revision: 586475) Bad build : 71.0.3572.0(Revision: 587136)

Marking this WAI - the 'Name' field is a text field, so it seems reasonable for the right-click context menu options to be available. The difference noted between 71.0.3571.0 & 71.0.3572.0, where the word to the left of the cursor gets selected is true for all text fields, and not limited to the NTP. |
