Thanks for the report. Please follow the below steps for WebView -- In Android N the WebView and Chrome packages were combined in order to reduce the update size for users. Updating Chrome also updates WebView. This means that in the Play store the WebView package will appear to be permanently disabled. The Play store WebView entry is only relevant for users with older operating systems, and users who have decided to disable Chrome. If you need, or are being asked by an application, to update WebView, the action you should take now is to UPDATE CHROME. This should resolve any issues you are currently experiencing. We would also like to understand what led you to file this bug so that we can reduce the number of users experiencing this issue and work with application developers to direct users to the correct Play store page. If an application has directed you to update WebView, and sent you to the WebView page in the Play store to do so, please comment on this bug to tell us which application did so. Finally, if updating Chrome does not stop the application from redirecting you to the Play store, please also provide that information on this bug. Thanks!!

No, I'm try to set by myself because Share link feature is not works periodically.(Send several feedback from Help section) And I found new adjacent problem, if I open weather widget on home screen, my default language is changing to Eng from Russian (system default) in Google Now(and Stories changes to English speaking location) and WebView.

Sorry, but changing the webview won't have any effect on any "share link" features - the different ways of getting webview functionality all work the same. You should ask for support on whichever application has the "share link" button that doesn't work right for you; WebView is not involved. The same applies to the language changing in Google Now; you'd have to ask for help with that product, not here.

About Share link, I mean feature only in WebView (see screenshot). About GNow, I now, but it simple try say about problem because it hard to find their bugtracker like this :) I think we can close issue.

That screenshot is not WebView, that's a Chrome Custom Tab, which is unrelated. WebView does not have any user interface at all. |
