Two folder in bookmark bar with same name are allowed

Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari: PASS/FAIL (Version)
Firefox: PASS/FAIL (Version)
Edge: PASS/FAIL (Version)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) create a folder name in xyz in the bookmark bar
(2) create another folder name xyz in the bookmark bar
(3) Now adding a bookmark to these folders will confuse because of their same folder name
What is the expected result?
folder name should be unique, No folder with the same should be allowed
What happens instead?
user get confused in selecting the folder.

possible.

Thanks for filing the issue! Able to reproduce the issue on chrome version 70.0.3538.67 and on the latest canary 72.0.3582.0 using Windows 10, Mac 10.13.1 and Ubuntu 14.04 As the issue is seen from 60.0.3112.0 considering it as Non-Regression and marking it as Untriaged. Requesting someone from respective team to have a look into this.

I get that you don't want to have unique folder names, but that is not true of all users. One use case I've seen is having numerous folders on the bookmark bar with no title at all.

Hello everyone, First of all thanks for a quick reply. I am a hardcore user of chrome and I found to this bug to be disturbing when I was working, I respect your though but just give a thought from consumer point and there is no logic to have two or three folders with the same name, it will only create a chaos for a user. |
