System menu is displayed in the wrong location, or not at all |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 71.0.3572.0 OS: ChromeOS Teemo What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Configure a device with two monitors. Mine has the RHS monitor as primary, the LHS as "extended display". (2) Click the clock in the taskbar, to show the system menu, on the RHS monitor. (3) Click the clock in the taskbar, to show the system menu, on the LHS monitor. (4) Swap the monitors, so that the LHS one is Primary. (5) Repeat #2 & #3. What is the expected result? Expect that at #2, #3 and #5, the system menu is displayed directly above the task-bar clock button. What happens instead? At #2 (RHS monitor) the system menu is displayed as expected. At #3 (LHS monitor) it is not displayed at all. At #5 it is still not displayed when you click on the LHS monitor. When you click via the RHS monitor the menu is displayed, but at the bottom-left of that monitor, rather than above the clock.

I think this is the same issue as 892248. I have confirmed: - repro at 11143.0.0 / 71.0.3572.0 - no repro at 11151.20.0 / 71.0.3578.33 - no repro at 11278.0.0 / 72.0.3612.0 (all on Chromebox guado and 2 monitors) It should have been fixed by the revert noted in the linked bug, and additional change has been made as tracked by Issue 864939 . |
