Regression : Default text caret is not seen in 'Email or Phone' text field on 'Sign in' page.

Chrome Version : 71.0.3577.0 (Official Build) fc334a55a70eec12fc77853c53979f81e8496c21-refs/branch-heads/3577@{#1} 64 bit
OS : Mac(10.13.1, 10.14.1, 10.13.6)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch chrome, open NTP and hit 'Cmd + P' keys to open print preview.
2. In print preview, click on 'Change' and click on 'Sign in' link seen at the bottom of overlay (Chrome navigates to 'sign in' page)
3. Observe the 'Email or Phone' text field on sign in page.

Actual Result : Default text caret is not seen in 'Email' text field after clicking on 'Sign in' link in print preview overlay.

Expected Result : Default text caret should be seen in 'Email or Phone' text field after step 2.

This is a regression issue broken in M-70 and below is the 'per-revision bisect information:
Good Build : 70.0.3503.0 (Revision : 578160)
Bad Build : 70.0.3504.0 (Revision : 578510)

Note:
1. Issue is not reproducible in Linux(14.04 LTS) and Windows(7,8,10) OS.
2. Able to reproduce issue in Beta #70.0.3538.54 and Dev build #71.0.3573.0

I think this has to do with the focus still being on the tabstrip when we open the new webcontents for signin. Over to avi@, but this is a definite Pri-3.

On my ToT build, I don't see the close button highlighting. I do see focus go to the omnibox.

On my build I can click in the page and it works. avshaikh@, are you able to click in the page and have it work?

Hi @avi,

Yes. After step 2, we can click on the page and enter credentials and it works fine.
I can reproduce this issue in latest Mac Canary #71.0.3578.0, please review an attached screencast.
