Unable to reproduce the issue on mac 10.13.3 using chrome reported version #69.0.3497.100 and latest canary #71.0.3575.0. Attached a screen cast for reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Typed some thing in search box with Chinese input method. 2. Switched candidates with direction keys. 3. Then pressed space bar to enter the search word. 4. Observed that candidates in Chinese input methods got selected as expected. mokyfigaro@ - Could you please check the attached screen cast and steps to reproduce and please let us know if anything missed from our end. Also please check the issue on latest canary #71.0.3575.0 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Thanks...!!

+cc jdonnelly@ - this might be the omnibox up/down bindings interfering with IME candidate selection.

Same issue with macOS 10.14.1 (18B75), system built-in Chinese pinyin input method and Chrome 70.0.3538.102. If set chrome://flags/#views-browser-windows to "disabled", everything is OK.

I'm looking at another IME mac issue so will see if this is similar.

#6 The flag seems gone after I updated to Chrome 71. And now not only up/down but also left/right keys don't work, which is very annoying. |
