Cannot send messages to Local Screens if presentation window is not full screen.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Using the Presentation API (https://googlechrome.github.io/samples/presentation-api/) or the Photowall sample apps https://googlechromelabs.github.io/presentation-api-samples/photowall/, start casting to a local screen.
(2) Mouseover the screen being cast to and press F11, or whatever key exits full screen mode.
(3) Send a message from the app to the local screen.

What is the expected result? message is displayed on the local screen.

What happens instead? Nothing. On the presentation app side's Live Output window, there is a "Sending "" ..." msg.
