Issue descriptionCurrently, it just shows keyboard controls. Sometimes a suggestion is chosen at a glance incorrectly, and going back should not require retyping the word. Happens commonly during cujos. fusong@, needs UI input, perhaps related to other controls UI questions ( issue 893761 ).

Actually, this needs a UI fix first -- in particular, it's really annoying that hitting backspace doesn't actually delete the character, but instead switches modes. We have to find a way for backspace to always delete the character and still allow mode change. Song, can you put this top of your list? thx. If we can find a workable solution, I'd like to try for it in 71, but let's see how we go. I hit this all the time when writing an email, and it's a big productivity hit.

since we don't support search in chrome keyboard, I suggest we can have access point icons in header once has prediction candidates which I allow backspace always be backspace, let me create mock tomorrow
