What went wrong? No styles applied to text/plain embeds. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? No Firefox 56.0.2 Chrome version: 67.0.3396.87 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Can be also reproduced with <object> elements.

CSS style does not propagate through to resources loaded through embed or object elements, and that is by design (i.e. think of them as iframe elements). Those loaded resources exist in their own browsing context assuming they're loaded by the browser itself (as opposed to a plugin), and thus their style is unaffected by the containing page. |
