+sgabriel@ This is WAI. In small display size, apps are overlapped with each other, we have to scale down the app to avoid overlap.

The scaling should apply on the app icon, not necessarily the text. Weidongg, do you see that working against the goal of them not overlapping? I thought the icon would be the core of the issue, not necessarily the text.

Reducing text size will also lead to accessibility issues and it may also defeat the purpose of zooming in.

Currently, the entire apps grid is scaled down to keep the original title-icon ratio in the spec, if we are going to scale down only icon while keep title unchanged, we might need extra spec for that. Only scaling down the icon might not be enough when docked maganifier is enabled.

Besides introducing scrolling within pages, I do not see any way to handle huge scaling with the application grid. I'm all ears if there are other options but since scrolling might introduce worse usability I'd be inclined to leave this as WAI.

For now I also think WAI might be better, I also thought about changing the rows from 4 to 2, but that will make pagination layout unrestorable when rows are reset to 4. |
