UI glitch in chrome://extensions/

Reported by regis.ca...@gmail.com, Oct 9

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3569.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open chrome://extensions/ with an extension that has a long description (Ghostery works with French description)

What is the expected behavior?
No buttons outside "extension boxes"

What went wrong?
Some buttons are pushed by the description outside the "extension box" (see screenshot)

Did this work before? Yes not sure

Chrome version: 71.0.3569.0 Channel: dev
OS Version: Ubuntu 18.04.1 up to date
Flash Version:

I saw https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=559139 but it's something else and outdated (imho)

regis.caspar@Thanks for filling the issue...

Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 71.0.3569.0 and latest chrome 71.0.3574.0 using Ububtu 14.04 & 17.10 as of now we don't have Ubuntu 18.04.1. Attaching screenshot for reference.
Steps:
---------
1. Launched reported chrome with French and English language
2. Enabled Ghostery extension as per screenshot
As we are observed that buttons aligned correctly in the "extension boxes"

@Repoter: Could you please check the attached screen cast and please let us know if anything missed from our end and verify this issue with fresh profile that is not having any extensions and apps or reset all the flags. Let us know whether issue still persists. Also confirm that the issue specific to Ubuntu 18.04.1 or not.

Thanks..!

Hi Phanindra,

I will do the test with a fresh profile and report back. I think you have to use the same desktop manager to reproduce (because this is probably related to default font family or size). I'm using gnome-shell as desktop manager and I can see that you did use Unity in your screenshots.

Note: I don't see this issue under OSX.
