Chrome crashes multiple times per session of use

Reported by subr9...@colorado.edu, Oct 9

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open chrome
2. have more than 2 tabs open
3. click around (Chrome always crashes when I try to access the REI website)
4. wait for it to crash (happens multiple times per session - enough that it is frustrating).

What is the expected behavior?
Chrome should remain functional and not close out of all tabs or web pages.

What went wrong?
Chrome constantly closes out and crashes.

Did this work before? Yes last one?

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
