Pay walls break my browser

Reported by rpmccorm...@gmail.com, Oct 8

Issue description

Example URL:
http://wallstreetjournal.com

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. go to a page with an ad wall
2. don't hit stop while loading
3. see content you were reading disappear

What is the expected behavior?
That I can keep reading, or easily rewind to where I can read

What went wrong?
A website should not be able to show you something, and then take it away or change it in a way that provents MY browser from returning to the original state. This is a BUG in all modern browsers.

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? No

Does this work in other browsers? No
 any that feature Javascript

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable
OS Version: 7.0
Flash Version: 7.0

I own my browser and anything sent to it. My browser should work for me and make it easy for me to view any data it received.

I think this is well within a website's prerogative to display pages as they see fit, including showing something and then removing it.

Do you have an example where Chrome removes the content even though the website intended to continue to display the desired content? Otherwise, this is working as intended.
Is there a way to delete this? Sorry I was on a rant... I do not understand how modern browsers can allow websites to stop people from reading something they were in the middle of before the page loaded or a script ran. Through devtools (or simply hitting stop at the correct time) smart people can still read the content. It is a shame it is not easier for everyone and on mobile. Consider it a feature request. Now how do I delete or close this bug report? Sorry.
