The V1 UI contains a <select> to allow shift alerts forward or backward by a few revisions when the detection algorithm mis-identifies the revision. This works well when the chart is zoomed out and the points are close together, but dragging alert icons would be more intuitive.
Maybe the V2 UI should support both the select box and dragging icons?
