Chromevox is reading <desc> of <image> SVG element as "asterisk" |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChromeOS version: any ChromeOS device model: any Case#: 17105823 Description: Chromevox is reading content of <desc> of <image> as "Asterisk" Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable ChromeVox 2. Create any google doc with image, which has description, or just open existing: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QpdIIP_IGTqFxurtfGoTj73SGwXMPxjgwjZHwxa-k9I and don't do anything, let Chromevox read. Current Behavior / Reproduction: "This is a test for Google Chrome Vox This is a pretty kitten Asterisk Hopefully this works" Expected Behavior: Chromevox to say "This is a test for Google Chrome Vox This is a pretty kitten Image Alt text description kitten is being held Hopefully this works" Video: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1p7E-yyuQL-WIq10Vq0g49rj2mwiTCjut Google docs is creating images as <image> SVG elements and Alt text as <desc> So chromevox is not reading <desc> (unless image is explicitly selected, which is used as workaround). Not a regression, it was always like that cut from code: <svg class="kix-embeddedobject-image" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" version="1.1" width="27500px" height="18300px" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 38px; margin-top: 14px; transform-origin: 0.5% 0.5% 0px;"><defs></defs><image xlink:href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/x_RlMaWpAXCXak-Uk6Llr67vuBdfMs3gkkNAGLR44iRdCv2N_8yLOEgiC6uBS_0QYX79QdM8tCu-GP5cjyDooNQ_KKvUcNBl6vl7SNX_ZQbYJyJBtFMzz_fiuTZ7ZPk5EoaJmfmPQauJ8ybqug" width="100%" height="100%" preserveAspectRatio="none" transform="scale(0.01)" transform-origin="0 0"><title></title><desc>This kitten is being held</desc></image></svg>
