Thanks for filing the issue! Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 69.0.3497.100 using Ubuntu 14.04 with the below mentioned steps. 1. Launched Chrome 2. Navigated to https://login.yahoo.com/ 3. Entered the login id -> Clicked Next 4. Entered the password. In the process we didn't observe any freezing of the page after entering the login ID and password. @Reporter: Could you please check the same in a new profile without any apps & extensions and let us know if the issue still persists. Any further inputs from your end may be helpful.

In addition to #2, please let us know if the computer has Keyring/KWallet installed. If so, can you open it (e.g. using Seahorse or KWalletmanager)? Can you see your saved passwords there?

+dvadym, who has worked with devtools and password manager. Any chance that dev tools can affect what password manager does? rivervvolfe@gmail.com, please answer #2 and #4. I am particularly interesting in which password backend(s) is available in your system (gnome-keyring, libsecret or kwallet)

I don't think that my work on DevTools may have such effects. Some password forms related warnings were implemented. rivervvo...@ when DevTools is open, do you see some warning/errors in Console?

i see a lot of errors. also by leaving it signed into the email it will show that i have messeges but when i go to the inbox it freezes there unless i have devtools open beforehand. at that point i can open a new tab , open dev tools then go back in and it acts normal. honestly it doesnt bother me because it ads a security block that most ppl would never figure out how to get around but i figured that im probably not the only person on the planet with this issue.

Thanks for the futher info! It is really strange that Yahoo mail only works when DevTools are open. I'm adding the DevTools label in case the DevTools team has any clues what to check. Could you please try to capture logs (see https://www.chromium.org/for-testers/enable-logging) when this happens for you?

Unlikely devtools-related. I can't even repro the original bug.

Also I'm curious if open Menu -> More Tools -> Task manager do you see the tab consuming a lot of CPU? Is it only one tab that freezes?
