Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create the following field: <input id="invoice-contact-search" type="text" name="customerName" size="42" placeholder="Name" autocomplete="new-password" required> 2. Load page on HTTP 3. Focus on the filed What is the expected behavior? autocomplete="new-password" seems to be the only way to disable autocomplete on Chrome. I want the field to use my own autocomplete created with javascript. And now this giant message is overlapping it. (see attachment) What went wrong? There is no way re disable autocomplete and warning messages about auto complete all together Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13.6 Flash Version: It's hard to build a webapp on Chrome when It keeps interfering with unwanted behaviour.

Tried testing the issue on reported chrome version #69.0.3497.100 using Mac 10.13.6 by following below steps. Steps: ===== 1.Launched chrome. 2.Copied code line "<input id="invoice-contact-search" type="text" name="customerName" size="42" placeholder="Name" autocomplete="new-password" required>" between <html> tag and saved the file as "cc_autofill.html". 3.Ran a local host and opened the file, observed a text a box and focused on it, unable to observe any action being performed. Attached screencast for reference. @reporter: Could you please review the attached screencast and let us know if anything is being missed from our end. If possible requesting you to provide screencast/screenshot of the issue so that it would be really helpful for better triaging of the issue. Thanks.!

Thanks I am not able to reproduce it at work at the moment. I think it is because I have no credit card information stored on this machine. I Will try again at home and provide a screencast when I am able to pinpoint this.

Sorry for being incomplete earlier. The issue requires 2 more fields I've attached HTML and screencast. Issue is not present in incognito mode. So I assume it is required to have at lease 1 creditcard saved by the browser

As this issue is seen from M-60(60.0.3112.0), hence considering this issue as Non-Regression and marking it as Untriaged. Thanks!

Parastoog@ could you please take a look? It seems like the new-password field is somehow classified as a credit card field. Since it's in HTTP, you get a CC warning. |
