Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0
Platform: 10895.56.0
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Edit Group Policy that requires JSON in AD (Configure ARC) and save it.
2. Reload policies at chrome://policy
3. Observe that the policy is updated on chrome://policy, but doesn't actually change anything on the device.
What is the expected behavior?
In the case of "Configure ARC" it should download and install the listed apps or provide an error message.
What went wrong?
The apps weren't installed and there was no indication that the provided JSON string was not correct.
Did this work before? N/A
Chrome version: 69.0.3497.95 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 69.0.3497.95
Flash Version: 31.0.0.108
The JSON in the "Configure ARC" GP:
{"applications":
{ ["packageName":"com.microsoft.office.word",
"installType":"FORCE_INSTALLED"},
{"packageName":"com.microsoft.office.excel",
"installType":"FORCE_INSTALLED"}]}

ArcEnabled is enabled. I fixed the JSON and the policy works now. You'd thin I'd have learned that lesson years ago with LISP... Thanks, Mike

Philipp, could we add a policy handler for the ArcPolicy policy that would check the JSON for validity and render the error for chrome://policy? |
