Wrong place of the new tab button when UI Layout is under « Normal » option

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.3569.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: This is a old problem but I can find the submitted issue even with advanced filter. So in doubt I post it here, merge it with the official issue if exist… Download last release here : https://storage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html?prefix=Win_x64/ Launch it, a brand new profil is create who start on the URL : « chrome://welcome » (Photo #1) Go on « chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md » (Photo #2) Change the flag to « normal » and relaunch Chromium (Photo #3) Look at the new tab button position ➜ wrong place and wrong hit-box… (Photo #4) Not it affect « New tab button position » ( flag ➜ #new-tab-button-position ) too… What is the expected behavior? New tab button at the right place in normal mode like in other mode (default, clam-shell, touch…) What went wrong? See Photo #4 Did this work before? Yes I must do a bissection, but it’s old ! Hi, Here the result of the bisection asked : « The problem occur between version 592055 and version 592064 » I suspect the bug to be in version 592056 ➜ https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/1229368 Probably in « new_tab_button.cc » ➜ https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/1229368/3/chrome/browser/ui/views/tabs/new_tab_button.cc I can't help for debugging at the moment because I have a lot of sewing to do. admin@murielfrenchcouture.fr@ Thanks for the issue... As per comment #0 and comment #4, Issue seems to be related to Issue: 888304 . Hence requesting Dev to look into and confirm this issue to be related to 888304 or not. CC'ing Dev for confirmation on it " Peter Kasting ( pkasting@chromium.org )". Thanks..!

Hi, Thanks you for you reply. For me it is totally related to https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=888304.
