git cl upload error: secret service operation failed?

Working from home, and chromoting in. For several hours, I get these errors when trying
to 'git cl upload':

Gkr-Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Still happening: even git cl format takes 51 seconds

I see two things in your original report that I suspect are unrelated:

(1) Gkr-Message: secret service operation failed
(2) Git CL Upload 503. 

I believe (2) should largely be fixed by the changes we made for https://crbug.com/881860

For the Gkr-message issue, a web search for "gkr-message secret service operation failed" seems to indicate that this is around the gnome keyring. I suspect the fix needs to be on your machine, rather than within git cl. Some results from my search:

I'm not a linux expert though, so not really sure what other help to give you. But I don't think this is actually a git specific issue.

Perhaps tech stop or others might know more.

Closing this for now since I don't know of a good home for it within the chromium project. But if you have more evidence of a problem within git cl itself or chromium please re-open.
