Audio from a video keeps playing after minimizing tab

In Chrome Canary:

Open a video and start playing it in a tab (not fullscreen).
Tap on tab switcher icon to switch out of the tab. 
Note that the audio of the video continues to play even when the tab is minimized and the video is no longer visible. 

While this is kind of neat, it probably shouldn't happen.

I believe this behavior has always been this way. I just confirmed in M67. 

It seems like reasonable behavior to me, similar to audio playing in a tab on desktop. The key difference in mobile is that there is no visual indication of which tab is playing the audio when you're in the tab switcher. Should we add this?

Also note that playing YouTube in the background is disabled by the site, not by Chrome.
