ChromeOS: current date has vanished from bottom right of screen |
||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 70.0.3538.34 (Official Build) beta (64-bit) OS: 11021.28.0 (Official Build) beta-channel chell What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Login (2) (3) What is the expected result? Date appears in bottom right, next to the time. What happens instead? There is no date, just time, battery and wifi indicator. This appears to be a regression as it just started happening. I searched settings and can't find any way to get it back. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. If this is a regression (i.e., worked before), please consider using the bisect tool (https://www.chromium.org/developers/bisect-builds-py) to help us identify the root cause and more rapidly triage the issue. For graphics-related bugs, please copy/paste the contents of the about:gpu page at the end of this report.

hello I wonder if you had an update on this bug? Is this the right component or CC list? I'll try putting an owner, maybe?

Think we intentionally do not show the date to preserve space. Date is shown in tooltip bubble when hovering the time, or click to expand the tray.

I don't think we ever showed the date in the status tray, always on tooltip or in system menu, which we still do.

This issue has an owner, a component and a priority, but is still listed as untriaged or unconfirmed. By definition, this bug is triaged. Changing status to "assigned". Please reach out to me if you disagree with how I've done this. |
