Memory leak to GPU process with a Variable Font test site

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: (WARNING: may crash your browser and/or system) 1. Make sure WebRender is enabled. 2. Visit https://www.curtismann.org/variablefonts/ What is the expected behavior? Smooth CSS Animations What went wrong? Memory leak due to animation of variable font Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? No I don't know what I'm doing but I made this variable font demo page: https://www.curtismann.org/variablefonts/ and it's causing memory leaks in Chrome and Firefox. curtismann@Thanks for the issue... Tried to reproduce this issue on reported chrome 69.0.3497.100 Using Windows 10. Attaching screen-cast for reference Steps: --------- 1. Launched reported chrome 2. Navigated to given url " https://www.curtismann.org/variablefonts/ " 3. Opened Task Manager and observed memory As we are observed that Smooth CSS Animations and memory usage high in chrome task manager @Reporter: Could you please review the attached screen-cast and confirm if anything being missed here. I can confirm that there seems to be a problem with animating web fonts, at least on OSX. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Chrome Task Manager 2. Open https://codepen.io/anon/pen/VEaqXW (WARNING: may crash your browser and/or system) 3. Observe memory usage of the tab continually grow. Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.11.6 Flash Version:
