Tested 69.0.3497.100 on both Linux and Mac. Could only reproduce on Mac. I'm guessing this is more likely closer to painting.

Works in M-71 Canary on Mac. mohda1415@, could you please install Chrome Canary and verify? A couple of opacity related issue have been fixed recently. Maybe this is one of them.

@schenney I received an update for canary today and it works, thanks. you can close this issue. don't worry about the video. it was an older version 71.0.3568.0 but in the latest one Version I currently have: 71.0.3569.0 works.

I think this was fixed by: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/aa14bd3327d6d299d310f13fb900fdd636e30817 It would be great to verify with a bisect. @bug reporter, would you mind doing a bisect for us? It only takes a few minutes. https://www.chromium.org/developers/bisect-builds-py

Right now we can only bisect up to 595557, that is broken still. The fix patch is suspected to be 595576, so we'll need to wait a couple of days to bisect. Assigning to myself to bisect later in the week.
