Site Security browser address icon "LOCK"

Reported by magnetic...@gmail.com, Sep 27

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Visiting my bank BB&T
2. Entering username
3. Entering password

What is the expected behavior?
Normally, visiting my banking institution the browser window (Site's Connection) is secure and the icon "LOCK" is traditionally green.

What went wrong?
The "Sites Connection" icon "LOCK" is traditionally green but now is gray? In fact, the browser now open for this site "LOCK" is gray instead of green?

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:

Because there has been such an attention to security to look at your "Browser" I got used to seeing the GREEN LOCK.

Thanks for the report. This is a deliberate change to de-emphasise "positive" security indicators as the web moves to be HTTPS/secure by default. We want to move Chrome to only telling you if a site ISN'T secure, rather than telling you that it IS (because *every* site should be secure by default).
