UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Goto https://minorninth.github.io/aria-live-region-tests/live_region_tests.html
2. Enable VoiceOver in OSX
3. Click on some of the controls which will insert aria-live content, for example 'add new alert to page'
4. Content is injected but not read
What is the expected behavior?
I expect the browser to read the newly inserted aria-live regions
What went wrong?
Chrome is not reading the aria-live marked up content.
I do believe this is a regression, but I don't have version data or anything to back it up -- I'm fairly certain this worked in previous versions of chrome. I also don't know if its specific to the version of OSX and/or Voiceover.
If you step through the reproduction steps in Safari, VoiceOver works as expected. In Chrome and/or Mozilla, the content is not announced.
