also in chrome settings there is an option to clean if i do this will it affect or delete things

hello im using the latest chrome browser when i downloaded i also downloaded various files apps and extensions were added to my compute i had to delete the ones that were making no difference to my compute to make space for family photos etc 
my chrome keeps crashing during movies there is a message i receive but i have not taking any notice of it nor did i think to i just wanted to know if when i decide to reinstall chrome will this effect my bookmarks history and files and folders will they be deleted and is there a way to update chrome without this happening also i have a long list of app data due to installing chrome can i happily delete them to make space for my family album and vids
