Thesaurus.com - when i want to search a new term for synonym, it takes forever

Reported by mdsd...@gmail.com, Sep 26

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open thesaurus.com
2. Search a terminology for synonym
3. When you type another synonym and hit enter to search, it just keeps loading without bringing the answers.

What is the expected behavior?
It is supposed to work fine.

What went wrong?
The web won't search the new terminology; it keeps loading forever.

Did this work before? Yes last version

Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6
Flash Version:

Thanks for your report. What specific terms are you querying for? I tried with "foobar" and then "quxx" and both pages loaded properly.
This is what it shows. Loading and loading without displaying a new content.
This is after i have entered a new term after the first search results. It wouldn't load the results.

That screenshot is of an Android device, not a Mac. Is this actually a Mac bug? It was filed as one :)
I experience this bug in both devices, my S7, and MacBook Pro, both using Chrome as a default browser.
Plus, I love Chrome. How do we have such an annoying experience after this update?

#6: In that screenshot, have you hit enter in the search field or not?
I did, multiple times, but it just keeps loading forever.

The first time, I searched "impactful", and it brought the results, then typed in "resource" and hit enter (did it multiple times), it started loading with that grey loading stripe going back and forth the screen, but it never displays the new page.

Thesaurus is my site for synonyms as I use it on a daily basis for my report writing.

As a daily user, I am very aware and confident of what I am reporting.

The fact this affects multiple form factors suggests a site issue. Do you encounter this issue on other websites?

No, I don't, only on Thesaurus.com.

Routing to Blink to verify thesaurus.com isn't doing anything special.

The recommendation here is to WontFix and feedback should be sent to thesaurus.com.

Unmarking Mac since it's not a bug specific to Mac.

Tried checking the issue on reported chrome version 69.0.3497.100 and on the previous stable 68.0.3440.106 using Mac 10.13.1. We observed the searched words are shown instantly without delay.

As per comment#14 removing Needs-Bisect label and requesting someone from Blink>Input team to take further action on this.

Thanks!

I can't reproduce the issue.

Reporter: can you try Chrome Canary and see if the issue still reproduces? Does the site work correctly in other browsers?

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
Closing since can't be reproduced and is like an intermittent site issue.
