Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.22 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://www.vmware.com/products/fusion.html Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open URL 2. check CPU usage in "background tasks" tool 3. What is the expected behavior? page loads fine What went wrong? 100% cpu and unusable page Does it occur on multiple sites: No Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 70.0.3538.22 Channel: beta OS Version: OS X 10.13.6 Flash Version: I saw some other 100% cpu bugs, sorry if this is a duplicate.

This bug also repros on Linux with 69.0.3497.100. I don't know how to tell if this is an issue with the individual site or with Chrome itself. I'm inclined to WontFix this - we either need a detailed bug report from the page authors (VMWare) or a test case showing some concrete misbehavior on Chrome's part.

@ellyjo... That's sad, the site is working fine with Safari (osx) and Firefox (Linux) So there's something wrong in Chrome IMHO. But you do as you wish, I did my part by reporting the issue :) Regards |
