ChromeVox unable to read Gmail conversations, keyboard focus separated from CV focus

# Launch ChromeVox with ctrl + alt + z
# Load Gmail
# Navigate into any email conversation with multiple replies in line
# Use tab or linear navigation to read down the list of email. 
Expected: ChromeVox reads text in focus
Actual: keyboard focus separates from ChromeVox focus. ChromeVox orange highlight stays in one place on the screen while the arrow keys move the underlying focus up and down the list visually.

This might be another bug but strange behavior happens while ChromeVox is in this state where focus is not moving. ChromeVox starts to double all keypresses as seen in this sentence I tried typing:

This includes ctrl + alt + z, you hear the earcon for turning off/on twice and ChromeVox can't be shut off. After a few seconds, ChromeVox starts to catch up with itself, the top ChromeVox bar appears, keystrokes are no longer duplicated, and you can turn off ChromeVox.

Does not reproduce in M71 in other machines.

Reproduction Steps: 
1. Launch ChromeVox and open a message conversation in Gmail.
2. Select a message using the P and N shortcuts.
3. Press CVOX + DownArrow to review the message contents a line at a time.
4. Experience the crash.

Reproduction Steps: 
1. Navigate to mail.google.com.
2. Open a message with a thread of more than one message.
3. Attempt to navigate to any message within the thread using CVX+H or CVX+3.
4. Chromevox crashes, resulting in the need to restore all open tabs.
