mac os 10.14 split screen

Reported by tldr@fernandomiguel.net, Sep 25

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_14_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/70.0.3538.22 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open MSFT Visual Code in Full Screen
2. drag a chrome window to the same Desktop to split screen

What is the expected behavior?
to be able to adjust the size of each window

What went wrong?
When i try to split screen (full screen on maos 10.14) of Visual Code and a Chrome window,
I can't resize either windows

Did this work before? Yes macos 10.13 and chrome M69

Chrome version: 70.0.3538.22 Channel: beta
OS Version: OS X 10.14.0
Flash Version:

this is clearly a MacOS 10.14 bug.
i was able to reproduce it with more apps.

the cursor changes to arrow, but you can't drag it... only on a very specific location when you over shows a different overlay and then you can resize

#1: If this is a 10.14 bug, it seems like this isn't a Chrome issue and I'm inclined to WontFix it. Does this happen when splitting the screen between other pairs of apps, neither of which is Chrome?
@ellyio, I'm almost sure it is *only* a macos issue, since i can reproduce it with most apps.
OTOH, i can see many other users having issues with chrome as i suspect browsers are things ppl split windows quite often.

I've also opened an issue with apple.

For anyone coming across this bug in the future, switching windows sides, reveals the holder that allows to resize.

I'm going to close this for now, then. If you find out that Chrome needs to change, leave a comment and we'll reopen it.
FYI, fixed on macos 10.14.1 beta
