Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a new user profile in Chrome.
2. Deny the Chrome login.
3. Log into some Google service like Gmail.
4. Click on the user icon in the Chrome URL bar.


What is the expected behavior?
In the English UI (see screen shot) Chrome offers to

    "Sync and personalise Chrome across your devices"

It's clear that this is currently not the case and will be enable by clicking on the big blue button below:

    "Sync as <firstname>"


What went wrong?
In the German UI (see second screen shot) the current translation states that Chrome IS ALREADY synching data and adds an "all" here that is also wrong (we're just on a single device and not making a change for all other, too):

    "Chrome wird auf allen Ihren Geräten synchronisiert und personalisiert"

In addition the longer German translation of "Sync" on the blue button only leaves room for the first two letters of the user's first name:

    "Synchronisieren als <f"


- Both combined make the current discussion about this feature completely derail in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. -


By adding a question mark to the end of the English prompt this could have been avoided, making clear the Chrome is ASKING the user for consent here.

In German the correct translation then becomes:

   "Chrome auf Ihren Geräten synchronisieren und personalisieren?"

The button should be reworded as "Log in as <firstname>" then becoming

   "Als <firstname> anmelden"
