No keyboard shortcut to autohide the shelf

Project Member Reported by kjbooker@chromium.org, Sep 24

Issue description

Chrome Version: 70.0.3538.16 (official build) dev (64-bit)
Firmware version: Google_Eve.9584.160.0

There is no way to autohide the shelf currently using keyboard shortcuts.

Expected:
Autohide shelf using keyboard shortcut, and use shortcuts to open pinned apps (using alt + 1, alt + 2, etc.)

Actual:
Cannot autohide shelf directly through keyboard shortcut

As discussed in our meeting, we think it might be best to make a context menu available on the launcher itself, so you could use Search Shift Volume Up to open it. In this context menu, it'd be great if we added the ability to autohide shelf, change orientation of the shelf, or set wallpaper.
Yeah, I like that.

Bulk moving <p-1's to the next milestone because we branched to M-73.

Gary, is still something that needs some design?

Is auto-hiding the shelf a frequent enough action that it requires its own keyboard shortcut?

If I understand properly, the purpose of this bug is to enable keyboard only users to autohide the shelf, not neccesarily to add a new shortcut (although this would fix the issue as well).

This was fixed in issue 922241 .
