Just to confirm, having now deleted and redownloaded Chrome and Canary I do at least get a full list of my passwords when visiting passwords.gooogle.com with both accounts. Previously this was only accessible via Canary. The issue where it refuses to remember the credentials for one of my accounts persists. Even after clicking the key icon. It does however have two entries for the same Gmail address (the one with the incorrect password has been deleted).

If I try sign into Gmail with affected account then the Key icon does appear. It still has the duplicated Gmail email addresses listed (one of which has an incorrect password which I deleted through passwords.google.com). It does not allow me to add my correct second address and password. To sum up there appears to be a disconnect between the Key Manager and the passwords.google.com store.

Thanks for look into the issue. [image: image.png] If you see above, I am signed out of both accounts, attempt to sign in with the longer account name and only get a suggestion for the shorter account name (visible in top right corner). I manually enter the correct password (or use my phone to grant access) and then allowed access. Unable at any stage to save a password for the longer account name. Seems to have confused the two? Any help appreciated!

Hi No only one entry for the other account: accounts.google.com | stephen.c.abraham@gmail.com and then the dotted password There is no entry for stephenconnorabraham@gmail.com What would you like to see from chrome://sync-internals/? I may just revert to manually typing in my password if too difficult to resolve.

I want to see if the passwords are successfully synced. Do you use the saved account for syncing the passwords or the one you can't save?

You are trying to save a password for the account you are using for syncing. See https://dev.chromium.org/Home/chromium-security/security-faq#TOC-Why-doesn-t-the-Password-Manager-save-my-Google-password-if-I-am-using-Chrome-Sync- Moving to dvadym@ because he investigated this problem for a while. I think we should not ask to save, it's a bug. |
