Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:62.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the Chrome browser 2. Click in the search box 3. Type on the keyboard What is the expected behavior? Typed text get entered in the search box What went wrong? Typed text goes to the address box Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Please see attached screen recording (ChromeInputIssue.mp4). The issue happens on start when no specific URL is loaded. Once an URL was entered and loaded it seems to work. A similar issue happens in CEF, maybe it's related to this issue in some way. When i click with pen or finger in the address box, then click in the search box and then type letters, the input goes into the address box. Tested this with http://opensource.spotify.com/cefbuilds/cef_binary_3.3497.1833.g13f506f_windows64_client.tar.bz2 on MS Surface Pro 4 Tablet and TrekStor SurfTab duo W2.

Able to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 69.0.3497.100 also on latest chrome 71.0.3559.0 using Mac 10.13.6, Ubuntu 17.10 and Windows 10. Same behavior is seen on M60(60.0.3112.113) hence considering it as non-regression and marking it as Untriaged. Thanks!

Working as intended. Though it's good feedback that this user genuinely thinks the fakebox behavior is a bug.

Sure, the annoying fake search box is "by design"... it's your decision. |
