Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.106 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create a long history of text (over a few screen lengths). 2. Start selecting the text. 3. Scroll up or down until the select spans at least 2 screens. 4. Finish the selection (intending to copy selected text). 5. Attempt to paste somewhere else. What is the expected behavior? All of the selected text, should be copied and pasted into the destination. What went wrong? If you scroll downwards, only the selected text on the current screen is copied. If you scroll upwards, the selected text is not even copied. It also seems to "select" everything below the current selection (although again it isn't copied). Tried to test the issue on latest chrome version 69.0.3497.100 using Ubuntu 14.04. Attaching screen-cast for reference. Steps: --------- 1. Launched chrome 2. Enabled given extension and opened some text editor as per screen-cast 3. Opened Secure Shell app and entered details As we are unable enter text on Secure Shell app and able to copy text and pasted on test editor. @Reporter: Could you please check the attached screen cast and please let us know if anything missed from our end and if possible provide screen-cast for better triaging it. Steps: --------- 1. Launched chrome 2. Opened Secure Shell App and a Google doc. 3. Copy initial clipboard content from Google doc. 4. Select from bottom-up in Secure Shell that spans multiple screens (doesn't show "Selection Copied"). 5. Try to paste in Google doc (pastes initial clipboard content). 6. Select from top-down in Secure Shell that spans multiple screens (shows "Selection Copied"). 7. Try to paste in Google doc (only a portion of the selection is pasted).

mrpi@, Thanks for the info in C#3. Still we are unable to reproduce the issue on Debian Rodate linux OS with chrome-69.0.3497.100 as per the screencast and steps in C#3. Able to see 'Selection copied' when we select text from bottom up & able to paste copied text clearly in doc. Same scenario observed in top-down process too. Please find the attached screencast for reference & let us know if we miss any steps form our end.

That's because the selection was too little. In order to reproduce the problem, you need to select more than 1 screen size of text in the Secure Shell (technically you don't need to, but if you do, you ensure that you can reproduce it). https://screencast.googleplex.com/cast/NTEyMTE3MjIyODI3NjIyNHxhZDQ3NDM3NC05ZQ Note that this isn't a problem with scrolling per-se (in that if you scroll a tiny bit, the copying still works). Thanks for the details steps & screencast. Able to reproduce the issue on Windows 10, Debian rodate & Mac 10.13.6 using chrome stable-69.0.3497.100 and Canary-71.0.3561.0. Entire copied text is not pasted When we try to copy text from more than one page from top to bottom manner & paste in word doc. Copied text is not pasted When we try to copy text from more than one page from bottom to top manner & paste in word doc (Text is not getting copied in this scenario). Same issue observed from M60 to latest canary-M71, hence considering it as non regression issue & marking it as Untriaged to get it addressed from dev team.
