Autohinted fonts are blurry

Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/68.0.3440.106 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Use this settings in ~/.fonts.conf

<!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM "fonts.dtd">

<match target="font">

<string>arial</string>
</test>

2. Make sure Sans-serif font is Arial
3. Open https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Chrome
What is the expected behavior?
fonts should be more clear and crisp
What went wrong?
Auohinting working as expected in 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit).
Autohinting is not working as expected in latest stable release.
Did this work before? Yes 68.0.3440.106

Reporter@ Thanks for the issue. This issue looks to be similar to issue 882577 . Hence merging this issue to issue 882577 and removing 'Needs-Bisect' label. Please feel free to undupe if it is not similar. Also request you to retry the issue on the latest Stable 69.0.3497.100, as the issue 882577 is fixed on M-69 build. Thanks..

But 'autohint' and 'hintfull' are different settings. In latest Stable 69.0.3497.100 'hintfull' is working. In latest Stable 69.0.3497.100 'autohint' is not working. |
