If all extensions icons are on the toolbar in your screencast, you only can make the URL-Bar larger to hide these icons.

But I want to make the URL-Bar shorter.. I should be able to do this.. I was also having this icons previously and I was able to decrease it

Able to reproduce the issue on Mac 10.13.3, Win-10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #69.0.3497.100 and latest canary #71.0.3558.0. This is a non-regression issue as it is observed from M60 old builds. Hence, marking it as untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks...!!

neel.heta@gmail.com: Can you explain what you would like to happen in this case? You want the URL field to get smaller and the rest of the toolbar to show empty space?
