Highlight the text in the search box and move the cursor to the beginning of the search box What went wrong? The text in the search box is not highlighted and the cursor is not moved to the beginning of the line. (Pressing Home without holding Shift does move to the beginning of the text, but with the shift key nothing happens.) Did this work before? Yes The one before the rounded edges arrived Chrome version: 69.0.3497.100 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.13.6 Flash Version: Also, pressing Shift-End in the search box no longer highlights from the current cursor position to the end of the text.

After installing OSX fresh in a new VM, I have been able to isolate the steps required to reproduce: * Install chrome * On the welcome screen, click "Sign in" * Create a brand new account to sync with Essentially, synchronizing with ANY account causes this issue. Synchronizing with an existing account but de-selecting every single synchronization item also has this effect. I'm attaching two screen shots, one with the normal looking search box on the Welcome screen, the other with an altered search box that appears immediately after logging in to an account (in this case with a new account created during the log in process.)

Re c#6 I wouldn't expect this to repro on Cocoa browser. I can reproduce easily on stable and Canary in MacViews.
