Event handler registered, but not firing

Project Member Reported by sigurds@chromium.org, Sep 18

Issue description

Chrome Version: Version 71.0.3551.3 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)
Linux

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) open the attached file in the browser
(2) use the drop-down to select option B
(3) click the rectangles

What is the expected result?
An alert should fire for each clicked rectangle.

What happens instead?
No alert fires for the second (lower-right) rectangle.

Note that this was working in M70.

haraken, after talking to mlippautz I'm CC'ing you. Could you take a look?

Some more information: Inspecting the rectangle for which the event does not fire reveals that the same event handler is in place as for the other. A break-point in that event handler also does not trigger when the second rectangle is clicked.
Version 71.0.3555.0 (Developer Build) (64-bit)

is working for me. Maybe something temporary?

It is working for me too on both 71.0.3556.0 and ToT. sigurds@ can you provide more details maybe? Does it still happening for you?

Hmm, this is curious. It doesn't happen in

Linux / Version 71.0.3554.4 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)

anymore on my machine. I guess we can close this for now. Thanks for looking in to this.
