Developer tool does not shoe pages source code if the page extension is png

Issue description
Chrome Version : 69.0.3497.92 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Safari: PASS/FAIL (Version)
Firefox: PASS/FAIL (Version)
Edge: FAIL (Edge)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Create webpage with extension png by redirecting a URL like www.website.com/test.png to www.website.com/test.html from .htaccess file (mode rewrite)
(2) Try to open the source code of the page from developer tool
(3) You will not be able to see the HTML source code
What is the expected result?
To see the HTML of the page
What happens instead?
Empty page

possible.

page at the end of this report.
