Chrome Mac - Google search doesn't work on new tab because unable to type

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 69.0.3497.81
OS Version: OS X 10.13.6
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari:
    Firefox:
    IE/Edge:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Chrome on Mac
2. Go to new tab
3. Click the green icon to go full screen of Chrome window
4. Try searching. There is no address bar. Even if I click on the new tab google search bar in the body, it doesn't do anything. 

What is the expected result?
I should be able to search

What happens instead of that?
When I type, nothing happens !!!

Try to press SHIFT-CMD-F. That should fix it

In your issue you are in the old called "Presentation Mode". This will be fixed with issue 868398.
