Issue descriptionChrome Version : Chrome OS Version 70.0.3532.8 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) URLs (if applicable) : https://play.google.com/books/reader?id=RYHtBPiZVgsC&pg=GBS.PA43 Other browsers tested: None Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you have tested this issue: Safari: Firefox: Edge: What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Sign in to Google Play Books and open a book (2) Try to move to page 2 by clicking on the arrows in the lower right corner. (3) What is the expected result? Page turns. What happens instead? CORS config issue. This isn't so much a bug in Chrome as a Google Play Books web interface problem. JS console shows: books.googleusercontent.com/books/reader?id=RYHtBPiZVgsC&guctk=09300734720073074948.f3b418fbce728599.1536983072.v1.ACfU3U2OdD00MBZ4aG84_d_HstV6s5U0Ug&hl=en#?peer=https%253A%252F%252Fplay.google.com:1 Access to XMLHttpRequest at 'https://play.google.com/play/log?format=json' from origin 'https://books.googleusercontent.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. It would be nice for power users to be able to temporarily allow CORS blocked resources or to offer an extension to help developers be alerted about them and fix them. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

RE: It would be nice for power users to be able to temporarily allow CORS blocked resources I think that --disable-web-security should work here (use with care please).

rgm@ Thanks for the issue... Unable to reproduce the issue on reported chrome version 70.0.3532.8 using Mac 10.13.6 and windows 10. Attaching screen-cast for reference. Steps: --------- 1. Launched reported chrome and signed in to google play books 2. Navigated the given URL "https://play.google.com/books/reader?id=RYHtBPiZVgsC&pg=GBS.PA43" 3. Clicked on arrows in the lower right corner As we are observed that the pages turns when clicked on arrows. @Reporter: Could you please review the attached screen-cast and confirm if anything being missed here. Also confirm the OS. Thanks..! |
