Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/69.0.3497.92 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Install AdBlock Plus https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock-plus/cfhdojbkjhnklbpkdaibdccddilifddb 2. Go to http://games.latimes.com/games/daily-crossword/ 2. Observe AdBlock icon at top of browser, notice that ads are blocked. 3. Open an incognito window, go to the same crossword URL. 4. Observe the AdBlock icon is not present, and ads are not blocked 5. Open the Extensions window, observe that AdBlock is shown as enabled. This problem occurs with other extensions as well, but AdBlock is probably the easiest example to demonstrate the problem. What is the expected behavior? Extensions should be available in incognito mode. What went wrong? At least some popular extensions no longer work in incognito mode. Did this work before? Yes I noticed this regression in Version 69.0.3497.92 (Official Build) (64-bit), and the problem showed up just in the last few days. I don't know how to tell when chrome was last updated. Chrome version: 69.0.3497.92 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: I asked in the Chrome Help Forum, and one person replied with just "0968475972". Bug numbers in the chrome bug list do not have that many digits. I asked what that number meant, but did not receive a reply.

You need to enable that extension in the incognito mode first. That's how Chrome always worked. Right-click the extension icon, click "manage extensions", enable "allow in incognito".

woxxom: Thanks! That fixed the problem. So, not a bug, pilot error. This bug can be closed. (I don't see how to do it myself.)

As per comment# 3 from the reporter, closing the issue and marking it as Won't fix. Thanks! |
