Bluetooth connection repeatedly drops between Bose QC35 II headphones and panther Chromebox |
|||
Issue descriptionGoogle Chrome 68.0.3440.118 (Official Build) (64-bit) Revision a7ca4397b06108b300bc00c52932eaeae010e662-refs/branch-heads/3440@{#808} Platform 10718.88.2 (Official Build) stable-channel panther What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Obtain a 'panther' Chromebox. 2. Connect two HP Z27n monitors via HDMI and DisplayPort. 3. Pair and connect a set of Bose QC35 II headphones via Bluetooth. 4. Stream audio from any site (e.g., play.google.com or meet.google.com). What is the expected result? Headphones remain connected until battery runs out, and audio streams to them consistently. What happens instead? A few times per hour (sporadically but consistently reproducible), the headphone connection drops and the Chromebox reroutes its audio controls to the DisplayPort or HDMI monitors, despite the monitors not having any physical audio output devices attached. I've mostly been avoiding the use of headphones with my Chromebox because it's been so broken. Have any particular changes landed that should lead me to re-test?
