Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open new tab
2. start typing something
3. hit Shift + Up

What is the expected behavior?
Text should become selected (that used to be the behavior, and is the behavior for <input type=text> fields)

What went wrong?
Text is not selected, an overlay is opened instead

This is also useful to grab the beginning of a URL (click in the middle of the url then Shift + Up). Shift + Down has the same regression
