On the first restart after an update to M69, the user might not get the new look - this is caused by a limitation of the experiment framework. Reporter: can you restart chrome and see if you still see this on the second restart? If not, this is a dupe of issue 882456 ; if you still do not see it on the second restart then this is a different bug.

Still can't see it. I also reinstalled it and it gave me the same result.

Unable to reproduce the issue on mac 10.13.3 using chrome reported version #69.0.3497.92. Attached a screen cast for reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. On fresh installation of chrome, the new material design did not appear in chrome. 2. But on restarting chrome, the new material design came up which is the expected behaviour in M-69 as per the issue 882456 . armcezar@ - Could you please retry checking the issue on latest stable #69.0.3497.92 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Thanks...!!

Could you try something for me? Visit ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome and move the file "Local State" to your Desktop. Launch Chrome, wait a few seconds for it to re-download the config, then relaunch it. This may also reset some settings, so you're welcome to put the original Local State file back after you've tested it.
