How much effort is is "to add support to usdz"? Do we have a sense of howwidely used is it?

Let's discuss as we have a broader strategy for how to support 3D models in Chrome and on the web.  Also we have concerns about USDZ as a format for the web.

Chrome shows Download Manager, because Mime Type for this response is "model/usd". We can't even log UMA for AR Quick Look files because "model/usd" does not look like a real MIME type. And of course we cant support previewing "model/usd" files :(

Or maybe model/usd is a real MIME type. Mo made a prototype for previewing these files:

Log model/usd MIME type downloads.

This adds a new value to Download.IOSDownloadMimeType histogram.

From graphics.pixar.com:
USD is the core of Pixar's 3D graphics pipeline, used in every 3D
authoring and rendering application, including Pixar's proprietary
Presto animation system.

USD previews are supported by Safari and logging the usage will help to
decide the priority of supporting USD previews in Chrome.
