Issue descriptionVersion of Google Chrome (Wrench-> About Google Chrome):68.0.3440.84 (Official Build) (64-bit) Version of MSI (if applicable): 69.0.3497.92 Using group policy settings? Yes Receiving error when attempting to install using admin credentials. "A newer version of the Google Chrome enterprise installer is already installed." Confirmed no version other than 68.0.3440.84 is installed. I "own" Chrome in our environment and have not had issues with any other update. This is being replicated on multiple machines with 68.0.3440.84 installed. Auto updates are disabled in our environment. Thanks

Hi. Could you look for chrome_installer.log in C:\Windows\Temp and attach it? Also, if you could, please grab a log from msiexec with /l*vx log.txt. thanks.

Hi, the chrome_installer.log in C:\Windows\Temp is from the previous install in August, so not updating with these attempts. Attached is the requested msiexec log. Appears the installer is saying version 67.106.16476 is trying to be installed. Thanks

deleted the old chrome_installer.log and re-tried the install and that log was not created.

This sounds very similar to issue 870272 . Could you please run the commands in https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=870272#c8 and provide the output? Are you, by chance, editing the ProductVersion (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/msi/productversion) property of the MSI, or making any other changes to it?
